Let's take a break from Iceland images (there are some more coming though). Last week we had some actual winter here in the south of Sweden. I took the opportunity and went to the Forsakar waterfall, hoping for it to be somewhat frozen. During my walk along the creek I came across a couple of white-throated dippers (Strömstare in Swedish).
Each time I come across these birds along a creek during winter I am amazed by how this tiny little creature, seemingly without any problems, wade and swim and dive into the literally ice cold water.
